In-Between
General Rules
The deal is kind of like with Black Jack in a sense that there is one dealer and the players bet against the dealer. Though the dealer can change if people like.
Two's are the lowest.
Ace's are the highest.
Suits do not matter.
Each player will get a total of three cards. They will play their hand before other players are dealt theirs.
To win, the players third card must be between the first two cards that are dealt. Exclusive (i.e. can not be equal to either of the first two cards).
A maximum bet amount should be decided on before any deal. This will be the most a player can win or lose. While it will be the most the dealer can win or pay up.
Each player can bet the amount they want. Their bet is not determined by other players.
Each players cards are discarded. Do not shuffle them in with the deck until there are no more cards in the deck.
The Hand
The dealer deals two cards to a player face-up. That player places a bet based on the third card being between the first two. Or the player can fold.
If the third card is between the first two cards then the player wins equal to their bet from the dealer.
If the third card is below or equal to the low card, or equal to or above the high card, the player loses their bet to the dealer.
The dealer then goes on to the next player going around to the left.
Examples
1) The player receives a 3 and a 4. The player should just fold.
2) The player receives a 3 and a 10. They decide to bet. The third card is a 2. They lose their bet to the dealer since it is not in-between the first two cards.
3) The player receives a 3 and a 10. They decide to bet but the third card is a 5. They receive equal to their bet from the dealer since the card is in-between the first two cards.
4) The player receives a 2 and an Ace. They bet the maximum. The third card is a two or an Ace. They lose! The card is not in-between the first two cards. The dealer takes the bet.
5) The player receives a 2 and an Ace. They bet. The third card is a 10. They win equal to their bet since it is in-between the first two cards.
Variation
Players can bet before they are dealt cards just like with Black Jack. If so, winning and losing is the same as before.
